A "good boy" will do anything for vengeance when a gang rite kills his twin sister. Will Lucas win, or follow his sister Silver into the darkness?
After a hideous car wreck, Lucas wakes from a coma to find that his world is gutted. Not only is his beloved twin sister, Silver, gone forever, but Lucas is broken in body and spirit. He will never be a college athlete, and is robbed of what he now realizes was the most important bond of his life. Although they weren't identical twins, Lucas and Silver shared a bond so fierce it defied reason, and was nearly supernatural.
After her death, that bond seems to endure when Lucas sees Silver everywhere he turns. Either he's crazy, or Silver is trying to tell him something about the California gang initiation they stumbled into that cost Silver her life. Lucas is bent on revenge, turning on Raymond, Silver's former boyfriend; the one Lucas never wanted her to date. He forms a posse of vigilantes to take out the gangsters responsible for Silver's death, but he risks not only his own life, but the love of the new girl on his block, who knows more about Lucas and Silver than can be accounted for by mere chance.

Day in the Life of a Writer by Erin Richards
Since
I have a day job, I write at nights and on weekends, winding my
writing through all my daily household chores. As far as a writing
schedule: I stick to a word count schedule for first novel drafts.
When revising pre-submission, I follow a revision checklist, and when
polishing & editing (pre & post submission), I schedule
number of pages per day. But “things” get in my way, so we’ll
explore a recent and typical Saturday.
I awoke at 7am
and stumbled down the stairs, almost forgetting to turn off the house
alarm before I opened the doors & windows. That would have been
embarrassing. Again.
Second thing: No,
I didn’t make coffee. I hate coffee. Instead, I cranked up ye old
Kindle Fire and iPad and checked email on one, Facebook on the other.
I thought about turning on the desktop computer to edit my YA urban
fantasy novel. Quickly discarded the idea when drama on Facebook
caught my attention.
I broke down and
turned on the computer, and engaged on Facebook, tweeted and
retweeted a few promotional tweets. I checked my Amazon rankings
(satisfying my Obsessive Ratings Checker Disorder). Checked email
again, since I was waiting for my agent to send me notes on my latest
manuscript. Nothing… Good, now I had time to continue working on my
current WIP. Answered a few emails and prepped a couple of packages
to send autographed books to contest winners. To get my mind off
writerly tasks for a short time, I downloaded bank statements and
paid a couple bills. Email refresh. Facebook refresh. Twitter
refresh.
Oh, look, it’s
lunch time. Made a low-carb chocolate protein shake for breakfast
(yeah, I know it’s lunch time, but time got away from me, as
usual). What’s this in my fridge? Hershey’s chocolate syrup? Why
not give it a little caffeine kick? Ok, so it’s not low-carb. Don’t
tell.
Finally, I took a
shower and ran errands. Even did a load of laundry. I was on a roll!
4:00pm: stared at
computer. Opened manuscript. Facebook, Twitter, Email refresh. Stared
some more. Fingers hit the keyboard. Here I go!
6:00pm: Dinner
on time. Yeah! Watched a belated episode of The Game of Thrones
from my stacked DVR.
7:30pm: Email,
Facebook, and Twitter rinse and repeat.
8:00pm:
#AmEditing #AmWriting
10:00pm: TV
time. Refresh Facebook. Refresh email. Sorry Twitter, I’m tired.
11:00pm: Read a
little for pleasure before lights out.
Sunday: Repeat
the roller-coaster ride because I wouldn’t have it any other way!
