About the Author

Suzanne Lilly writes lighthearted young adult stories with a splash of suspense, a flash of the unexplained, a dash of romance, and always a happy ending. Oh where to start. I always have a hard time choosing sometime because I'm always book boy crazy when there is a good boy in the story and I would love to start there but some may not under my obsession until its explained so I shall start my review from the very beginning.

So if I were to judge a book by its cover this story would not be what I expected. I mean in the story Aspen is a life guard so the cover isn't far out there but when I look at the cover I think it looks more like a mermaid fantasy book. Anyways I like the cover but I love the story even more. 

Aspen is newly release from the foster system and high school graduate who need to find a place to hide from a dark secret that looms over her past. With the help of her case worker she finds a dinky little town where she can hide in plain site. Once in Honey Creek she tells herself she will not make friends or attach her self to the town and its people for she feels its safer for everyone this way. Then enter in Super Sexy Fireman Colton *sigh*. Who can melt any hard heart. He is sweet, caring, and charming. Everything right in a man. Right when he sees Aspen he knew she was different. She was a different he wanted in his life. with resistance from Aspen, Colton tries to be nice to her but she takes it the wrong way. She realizes she is being a tad bite mean to him. They start over and a real spark between the two ignite. But Aspen can't run from her past for to long..it catches up with her and in the end she has Colton there to lean on. He becomes her rock.. her everything.

I truly LOVED this story. It was sweet, thrilling, and a little funny. I would recommend this to YA/ New Adult and even Adult reader. Anyone who love a troubled heart girl, sexy fireman, and a love that grows very deep. This was an out of the ball park kind of good. If you haven't read it please do so you wont regret it.
