Book Description:

We’d both gone missing at one point, but Claire had one thing I didn’t. Someone to notice. So why was I the one still here and she the one still gone?

Nineteen year old Megan Smith has spent the past year working in a small town diner in the middle of nowhere. Life is quiet, simple, safe. Then comes the news that her look-a-like has gone missing.

Claire.

Still damaged both physically and mentally, Megan's not looking to be noticed. Wherever she goes from here, it's a road she needs to take alone. But when Nickolas Ellis takes the job as the new nightshift cook, it scares her how easily her defenses crumble down, down, down for him. But there are secrets she can't bear to share with just anyone, unspeakable acts that continue to haunt, and when the similarities of Claire’s abduction couples with the fear of an unwanted visitor in town, the urge to run before it all happens again intensifies, threatening the only happiness Megan's ever found.

New Adult Romantic Suspense / Dark Realistic Fiction
Recommended for 17+ for mature and disturbing situations, language and sexual content.

(*I received a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. I'm not a paid reviewer. These thoughts are my own.*)

First off this book was not what I was excepting but with what I had in mind and what I read didn't matter because I really enjoyed Nearly Broken.

Nearly Broken is about this girl named Megan, Who escaped a home full of emotional and physical/sexual abuse. Trying to rebuild her life she heads towards Seattle. Yet she doesn't make it that far, she finds a small town to call home for awhile. That was until she met Nick. Nick and a few others believe she is a girl who was kidnapped a few years ago. They think Megan is a girl name Claire. Brainwashed to believe she was someone else not Claire anymore.

Megan doesn't believe she is this Claire person. With the help of Nick she begins to piece things together and start to learn how to trust again but that might lead to more trouble. Like I said before I enjoyed Nearly Broken. Nick is so Charming and Handsome. He care so much for Megan which makes this story even better. Some part were a little hard to read, not that it when into to much detail of what was done to Megan or being done, its just emotional to think that this could happen to someone.

I want to now talking about the facts that are at the end of this book because I'm in complete shock and I find it to be a great idea on the Devon Ashley part that she wrote a story with something that could really happen. It is good to be aware of things that happen around you everyday that you might not know about. Okay you are all probably wondering right now what the heck I'm talking about? Right?  Well I'm talking about Sex-Trafficking. Sure I like, probably many others have seen examples of Sex-Trafficking in the movies..what comes to mind for me is the movie Taken (with liam neeson). Anyways I find it sickening to think how many women and children ( arg, It make me sick to my stomach. Those poor children) are taken for Sex-Trafficking purposes. I have to applaud Devon on her efforts in writing Nearly Broken. It is not an easy feat to write a story period, but to write one with some much detail to emotions is a probably even harder. So I want to say, Well Done Devon.
