Waiting for the Storm
Marie Landry
Publication date: April 9th 2013
Genre: YA Contemporary
Synopsis:
Charlotte O’Dell knows this summer is going to suck. Her beloved mother just died, her sister hates her, and her dad has completely checked out. Fulfilling her mother’s final wish, the family heads to Angel Island for the summer to stay in a beach house her mother once loved.
After a year of being shut away taking care of her mother, Charlotte is numb and practically afraid of her own shadow; she hopes going to the island will give her the time and space she needs to begin healing, and an opportunity to bring her family back together. When she meets her mysterious neighbor, Ezra, it doesn’t take long for Charlotte to confess the issues she’s developed. Ezra begins giving Charlotte assignments to get over her fears, and although she accepts his tasks, all she really wants is to be with him. When she’s with Ezra, she’s able to forget the hollow ache in her heart and the fact that her family is falling apart. But Ezra has secrets…
Can Charlotte pull what’s left of her family together, mend her broken heart, and allow herself to fall for Ezra? Or is it all just a storm waiting to happen?

(* I received a copy of Waiting For The Storm for the tour. I'm not a paid review and all thoughts are my own*)
*Sigh* I enjoyed this one very much! I could not set this read down! What to say about it first..well I love Ezra that sounds like a good start. :) hehe Okay I guess we should talk a little more about the book and not just Ezra..Arg. :P
Waiting for the Storm is told in the POV of Charlotte. A girl who's mother just died from being sick for a while. Charlotte took it upon herself to take care of her mother in her dying days. so it's pretty hard for her plus she has a sister who is taking her pain out in a different way..by not being nice to Charlotte. Before her mother past she want to take a family trip to a summer home she use to visit. Upon her passing it was her wish for them to still go spend time on Angel Island. Even though things seem hard and not great for Charlotte and her family there is a ray of sun shine that shines through. She meets Ezra and things start to turn around for her..well except her family life. Towards the end of the book family problems become a thing of the past. I truly love Ezra and Charlotte's story. Man do I love Ezra :) He is so sweet and caring. Very mature for an 18 year old..I guess he has to be because he was forced to grow up so he could help out in his home life growing up. He to is a tortured soul just like Charlotte..they are two pea in a pod. :P The end of this book was so sweet. Waiting for the Storm had my heart continuously melting :)
All in all I loved this read. I would recommend to any fans YA romance. This is one to be add to your MUST read list!!
