Reviewers’ Comments:

'Kudos to author Emma L. Adams and her debut novel! She has created a beautifully creepy work of art and I look forward to her future works.' - Fantasy author Amy Joy Lutchen (Goodreads review)

'OMG, my hat goes off to Miss Adams. "The Puppet Spell", is a mind-bogglingly crafted novel... It's Harry Potter meets The Matrix. It's a fast-paced story that left me gripping the end of my seat waiting for the next scene to start. Adams's debut novel is a must have! Its original take on magic and other worlds will have you placed under a spell of its own.' - YA author Elle A. Rose (Amazon review)

'Adams has crafted an entertaining fantasy tale with some nicely creepy moments. This novel is aimed at a young audience and should be extremely well received...a brilliantly written adventure story.' - Fantasy author Sharon Stevenson (Amazon review)

'Ms. Adams gives much attention to detail, and she makes you believe that other lands do exist. She has a wonderful way of making you feel immersed in the story and the flow from one scene to the next makes it easy to follow. It is both eerie and beautiful.  If you enjoy otherworldly fantasies, this is a book you will enjoy!' - Christy at Christy's Cozy Corners - read the full review here.

'Excellent! I really, really liked this book. I was drawn into the setting, I loved the characters, the plot was great, and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I think readers of all ages will love Puppet Spell and I recommend you add it to your bookshelf today.' - Paul R. Hewitt, author of Lionel's Christmas Adventure

About the Author:

Emma spent her childhood creating imaginary worlds to compensate for a disappointingly average reality, so it was probably inevitable that she ended up writing fantasy and paranormal for young adults. She was born in Birmingham, UK, which she fled at the first opportunity to study English Literature at Lancaster University. In her three years at Lancaster, she hiked up mountains, skydived in Australia, and endured a traumatic episode involving a swarm of bees in the Costa Rican jungle. She also wrote various novels and short stories. These included her first publication, a rather bleak dystopian piece, and a disturbing story about a homicidal duck (which she hopes will never see the light of day).

Now a reluctant graduate, she can usually be found in front of her writing desk, creating weird and wonderful alternative worlds. Her debut novel The Puppet Spell, published in 2013 by Rowanvale Books, is a fantasy tale for young adults and the young at heart, inspired by her lifelong love of the fantastical, mythology, and video games. Emma also writes supernatural fantasy novels for older teens and adults. Her next book, Darkness Watching, is the first in the upper-YA/New Adult Darkworld series, and will be published in September 2013 by Curiosity Quills Press.

When and why did you decide to be a writer?

I’ve always had a vivid imagination and I spent most of my childhood creating imaginary worlds and characters, but it was when I was ten that my teacher first suggested that I could be a writer. And that was it: I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I wrote endless short stories and planned huge epics, but it wasn’t until I was 14 that I actually sat down and wrote a novel. It was terrible, but it taught me a lot about writing.
What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been the best compliment?
The toughest by far was the report I received for the first book I ever wrote, from a literary consultancy. It was worth it, but it was brutal! Best compliment? I love all the reviews I’ve received so far for The Puppet Spell – I treasure all of them!
Do you have any advice for other writers?
Read a lot, write a lot, learn from other writers, get feedback on your work –and don’t give up!
How many drafts did you have to write for The Puppet Spell? Any scenes that were cut from the original that you want to share?
I lost count a while back! I think about 5-6 drafts, but I edited it a lot when it was uploaded to Authonomy.

What inspired the idea for ' The Puppet Spell ?

The original idea was in an old notebook I found in my room. I’d written the beginning of a story about a hidden laboratory a few years back, and I started thinking about how I might finish it. One idea led to another and The Puppet Spell was born!
What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write in 'The Puppet Spell and why?
I really enjoyed writing the Fey Kingdom scenes. And the ending! :)

What is your favorite snack/treat or drink while writing?

Diet coke. I’m addicted to the stuff.
What are you currently reading?
I read a lot! I just finished The Archived by Victoria Schwab, which was amazing!
Who is your fictional character crush?
I don’t really do that sort of thing…but I do like Jace from The Mortal Instruments and Daemon from the Lux series, because they’re both hilarious.
Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Just that I hope you enjoy the book! :)

That concludes this Tale-Spinner post! I want to say THANK YOU to Emma for be with us on out blog today . (I'm a huge Daemon fan! :) good choice! ) I hope you all go and check out her books!! As always thanks to al you awesome blog follower who follow us and take the time to read out post..WE LOVE YOU! :)

Wes Elliott just met his match…and she might actually burn his entire world down. Surfing and sex. This is Wes Elliott's life. And it's just the way he likes it.   ` After seeing his parents stay in a loveless marriage his entire life, and burying away a heartbreak from his past, he knows where romance is best left: crappy chick movies. He'd rather lust and eventually leave, and that's exactly what the plan was when he met Lana Langston. Except…turns out she’s only in it for the thrills, too. She's always only in it for the thrills: life in the literal fast lane on her motorcycle, and the hot nights in forbidden places without the awkward talks in the mornings after. She's Wes Elliott in way tighter jeans.  So, this should be perfect, right?  But the more time Wes spends with her, the more he wants the nights to turn into mornings. And maybe even longer. Suddenly, it isn't so perfect for him anymore.  And the things he thought were buried are digging themselves up.    Now Wes is in a lot of trouble.  He’s falling in love with the one girl who might be a bigger risk than even a guy who gets barreled by the most dangerous waves in the world is willing to take on. Can Wes and Lana figure out a way to make it work? Or is he headed for something far more reckless? Due to the sexual content, language and violence, this work is not recommended for readers under 18.

{{YaBound Book Tours}} Cover Reveal: WITHOUT YOU by BROOKLYN SKYE

WITHOUT YOU
Release Date: 10/22/13

Summary from Goodreads:

*A novella to the best-selling New Adult novel STRIPPED*

I’m the knight on the white horse in her eyes, the one who broke down her defenses after her sister’s death until she realized she was capable of love. To her—aside from my name, Torrin Kingsley—I’m perfect.

But there’s a sliver of my past I’ve never shared with her. One that is now haunting me with every breath I take. One she is starting to raise her brow to.

I’m not certain how much longer I can keep it from her. To be honest, I don’t know that it would make a difference anyway, because it seems no matter which path I choose, they all lead to the same end point. A place without Quinn.

My demons run bone deep. I guess burying them forever wasn’t possible.

She will make Torin forget his one rule a second time and fall in love with her all over again.
But she quickly learns that well-laid plans do not work when dealing with deities and supernatural beings. Desperate, Raine makes choices that could not only tear her and Torin further apart, but lead to the destruction of everything and everyone she loves.

His voice came to me as though from afar, hope slowly dying with each word from his mouth, until a giant gaping hole remained. I wanted to say something, but my tongue stayed glued to my mouth, which had gone dry. So I waited, heart pounding.
“Our paths must have crossed and you misunderstood,” he said gently.
“Misunderstood?” I whispered.
“The nature of our relationship.” He let go of the car door and shoved his hands in his front pants pockets again. “I make a point of not getting emotionally involved with Mortals. It is counterproductive. So if I did something to mislead you in any way, I’m sorry. It was not my intention.”
He paused, his jaw tense, his gaze steady. I wanted to look away, but I couldn’t, the finality of his previous words echoing in my head like my worst nightmare.
“I’ll not always be a Mortal,” I whispered. “I plan to start training as soon as possible.”
His eyebrows shot up. “Why?”
My mind went blank. Then jumbled thoughts slammed into my psyche. Just because he couldn’t remember didn’t give him the right to write us off. Anger slowly crept in and mingled with the pain. Misunderstood the nature of our relationship? Emotional involvement with me was counterproductive? He wasn’t willing to find out the truth or give me the benefit of the doubt. He just assumed he couldn’t have gotten involved with me, a Mortal.
“Why? What kind of question is that?” I asked through clenched teeth.
His brow shot up. “One you should be asking yourself.”
Hating that I had to look up at him, I stood. He didn’t even have the decency to step back. The heat from his body leaped and wrapped around me, messing with my head. Usually, I welcomed the effect he had on me. Now, it just pissed me off.
“I’ve asked it a gazillion times, and I keep coming back to me, my mother, my entire existence. My mother is a Valkyrie. Norns marked me when I was a child for their diabolical reason, so Valkyrie and Norn magic flows in my veins.”
He smirked. “So? That doesn’t mean you have to become one.”
“The Norns are after me, Torin. Just because you don’t remember things doesn’t mean I don’t. Dealing with them was horrible. I have to be prepared this time.”
He cocked his eyebrows. “I heard you stood up to them and accomplished something. Do it again. Show them you are one Mortal they can’t bully. Being a Valkyrie is a lonely, crappy existence. Being a Norn is even worse.”

 TRAILER

(I received a ecopy of Immortals for the tour. I'm not a paid reviewer and these thoughts are my own.)

I hold true to the statement I made on goodreads..that was Immortal is 6 out of 5 star!!! Seriously this book was that amazing.. I could NOT put this book down! One of my new favorite! I love you Torin st.James! ( I don't care you are taken by Raine I still LOVE YOU :P ) Ahh okay I think I'm getting working up again just thinking about this book. It truly is a new favorite of mine!

This book should come with a warning: caution IMMORTALS is so amazing that you won't be able to put it down. Symptoms you may experience while reading- joy, happiness, love, and excitement.  Side effect from reading the book to fast- sadness, a form depression, wishing you had read it slower, and extremely bummed that Torin St.James isn't real :)

Immortals in told in the POV of a girl named Raine ( this is a continuation of Runes, also told in Raine's POV- if you haven't read it yet, for shame..go pick it up NOW so you can get to Immortals :P ) We go through a journey with Raine as she learns things aren't always easy and telling truth from the lies proves to be tougher then she thought. Raine is a wonderful main character! She is never whinny or clingy..she is a refreshing fun character who is lucky to have one of the hottest book boyfriends out there. TORIN ST.JAMES!! Torin strikes again...In Immortals he was super sexy, cocky, and funny..Ahh Torin and Raine together was so sweet! I love it!! :)

All in all this book is a definite MUST READ!! If you have yet to read this series or haven't heard of it yet I would urge you to check it out! You won't be sorry. This series is AWESOME! Ednah is a wonderful author, truly one of my favorites! :)
