Julia crane is the author of the Coexist: Keegan’s Chronicles. She has a bachelors degree in criminal justice. Julia has believed in magical creatures since the day her grandmother first told her an Irish tale. Growing up her mother greatly encouraged reading and using your imagination. When I started this book I had no previous knowledge of Julia's other books. So I basically didn't know the series that this was branching off of. Let me tell you, it was a wonderful stand alone read. Julia did a wonderful job giving a little background information so you wouldn't really need to read the other series but I do have to say after reading Rourk now I really want to read more of Julia series. It has me wondering what happened in her other series. She is a very talented writer.
In Rourk we go through a story told in third person, Which I usually have a hard time with reading but Julia made it simple and easy to understand. I didn't have a hard time with this read. It was fast, easy, and sweet. Rourk is such a dreamy elf! I like how the race's in this story are mix, Human and mystical creatures. This read starts out with Rourk helping in the Human army ( even though he is an elf) he is sent off to war while his wife Keegan stays at home worrying for her love. Then something happens and it seem a chain link affect happens, one thing after another. Some good news and other bad. This story was well written and had me captivated. I couldn't put it down.
I really really loved the ending. I can't wait to see if there will be more to Rourk and Keegan's story. All in all this was a super fantastic not boring at all type of read. If you are a fan hot elves...and I guess war, love, and magic too but mostly hot elves ( hehe) this is the book for you. It's must read. If you are looking for something fast ,quick and good to read this is the book for you. So go pick it up now ..like right now..:)
