Long- Gracie has just finished her freshman year of college in Memphis when she takes a job at a local pizza joint in her home town of McKenzie, Tennessee. She is the epitome of innocence when she meets Noah. Noah is unabashedly handsome, intriguingly reckless and just cocky enough to be sexy. Gracie’s instincts tell her to stay far away from him and based on the stories she hears from her co-workers he leaves broken hearts in his wake. But still, she can’t explain her fascination with him.
Noah puts aside his bad boy ways when what he thought was a summer crush has him unexpectedly falling in love. But soon after Gracie transfers to UT Knoxville to be with Noah, their unexpected love becomes riddled with anger, deceit and humiliation.
Jake, Noah’s former roommate and Gracie’s best friend, can no longer be a bystander. Gracie’s world falls out from beneath her and when she breaks she turns to Jake for strength. As Jake talks her through a decision she’s not yet strong enough to make, together they uncover a truth so ugly neither of them is prepared for its fallout. Will Jake pull her to the surface or is Gracie Jordan finally In Too Deep?
About the Author
Michelle Kemper Brownlow has been a storyteller her entire life. Her debut was on the high school cheerleading bus granting requests to re-tell her most embarrassing moments for a gaggle of hysterical squadmates.
Earning her Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in Art Education and then marrying her very own “Jake,” she moved to Binghamton, NY where she taught high school. After having two children she quit work and finished her Master’s degree in Elementary Education at Binghamton University.
The Brownlow family of four moved to Michelle’s hometown of Morgantown, PA while the children were still quite young. A few years after moving, her family grew by one when they welcomed a baby into their home through the gift of adoption. The family still resides in PA, just miles from where that high school cheer bus was parked.
Michelle has been an artist for as long as she can remember, always choosing pencils and crayons over toys and puzzles. As a freelance illustrator, her simple characters play the starring roles in numerous emergent reader books published by Reading Reading Books.
“Writing is my way of making sense of the world. When I give my characters life on the pages I write, it frees up space in my mind to welcome in new stories that are begging to be told,” says Brownlow.

*I received an ARC. I'm not a paid reviewer these thoughts are my own!*
Okay I need to start this by saying something very serious and the utmost importance....
NOAH IS BIPOLAR!!
There I said it! It was nice to get it off my chest. I'm no Doctor and even I can tell there is something missing in his brain circuits. For those who haven't read In Too Deep yet, I shall explain further into my important outburst.
Lets start at the beginning shall we, there is yet another plain Jane type girl " Gracie" who doesn't see anything to special in herself as others do. She is shy , not very straight forward, and hate confrontation. So you know from the beginning she is easily persuaded. She had a boyfriend at the time she meets one of the main guys of the story..Noah*cough*crazyman*cough*. He swoops in and woos her. He is handsome, charming, and a womanizer. Whoa, Wait a womanizer? Yes you read that right. Noah is well known for being a womanizer around the school campus. That was until he meet Gracie and he changed his ways. Ha. ( I'm sorry for the focused hatred for Noah but you will figure out soon where I stand on the guys scale in this story :P) They form a wonderful relationship through Gracie's eyes. She really thinks he has changed and that he only loves her.
Later in the story we find out that the little womanizer doesn't know the definition of cheating. Come on Noah really just because you don't go all the way with the girl doesn't mean that isn't cheating!! Needles to say they break up.
Enter in one of the hottest book boyfriend any girl can have...Jake!! *sigh* He is best friends with Gracie and oddly enough old roommates/friends with Noah. Jake is there through this whole story.. He doesn't judge her, criticize her, belittle her, or make her feel like she is worthless. He is the opposite. He loves her unconditionally. Through all the mistakes she makes. She always has Jake to turn too.
Through out this story Gracie is easily persuaded to get back together multiple times with Noah. Talk about DRAMA (but it doesn't change the fact that this is a wonderful read!!) So here comes in my important message from earlier... So through their many make-up & break-up Noah show he has multiple personalities which even Gracie points out at one point in the story ( why it didn't click for Gracie then that he is crazy when she listed what is wrong with him is beyond me.) With their many break-ups that follow all their make-up she begins to find more and more comfort from Jake. They get very close through out the story and happily enough Gracie wakes up and realizes how big of a douche Noah is and falls into Jake's open arms...*sigh* Soul Mate :)
For my conclusion, In Too Deep was a wonderful read. I loved it! Besides there is a hot, loving guy who is worth reading about..Jake Be Still My Heart! I would suggest this book to any New Adult/ Adult romance reader. In Too Deep is heartbreaking, sexy, and a drama filled romance story. Please if you have the chance read this book!! You will not regret it!
