It’s
the life I was born to live: billionaire’s daughters, living
amongst the rich & famous. But my mom kept me a secret from my
dad. Until now.
I
am so out of my league. Fancy parties, expensive cars, and a private
school for the elite… It sounds like a dream. But everything is not
as perfect as it seems on the outside. Here, the secrets are dirty,
and the lies comes easy.
Welcome
to my fab life.

About the Lovely Mercy Amare
I
am a YA/ NA author, with an addiction to NOS & Red Bull energy
drinks. My guilty pleasure is the TV series The Lying Game and The
Vampire Diaries. I'm 23 years old. I currently live in St Louis, with
my husband of 2 years.

I was lucky enough to get a double whammy for this tour. Dream Cast Guest Post and an Author's Interview. How did I get so lucky? Look at her dream cast ...so dreamy! I would definitely want to see this book if it was a movie :) ENJOY...

Interview: MERCY AMARE
When
and why did you decide to be a writer?
I
decided I wanted to be a writer in the second grade. I loved books a
lot, and when I discovered that “actual people” wrote them, I
thought ‘I
can do that’!
And so I did.
What
has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has
been the best compliment? Worst
criticism would be… Somebody called my book “total crap”. Like
literally, THAT was their review. I don’t mind 1-star reviews. I
mean, they hurt, but some of them are really helpful. Not this one.
But it definitely hurt my feelings. And then I got over it… The
best compliment, well EVERY compliment to me is the best. Especially
when people ask me to write a spin off with such and such character,
or when they beg for another sequel. It’s the best. They liked my
book enough to want to read another one!
Do
you have any advice for other writers? Just
write. 200 words a day. 2k words a day. 10k words a day. Whatever you
can do, do it. Instead of watching TV, write. Don’t give up on your
story, because nobody besides you is going to tell it.
How
many drafts did you have to write for 'The
Fab Life'?
Any scenes that were cut from the original that you want to
share?Actually
I plotted my book and wrote it straight through. I didn’t delete
any scenes… When I start writing, I know exactly what I want to be
told.
What
inspired the idea for
'The
Fab Life’?I’ve
actually had the characters in my head FOREVER. Kihanna, Gabe and
Toby started it all. In the original story Kihanna actually KNEW her
dad. But when I started plotting it, I realized she actually didn’t
know her dad until the beginning of the book.
What
was your favorite chapter (or part) to write in ‘The
Fab Life'
and why?Hmm…
I would say that my favorite part to write was the very first “Family
Brunch” (chapter 2). I laughed SO HARD when I was writing that
chapter. I have a lot of love for Toby!

Alert! If you only had 140 words or less to tell us about ‘The
Fab Life',
how would you write your tweet?#TheFabLife
where the secrets are dirty, and the lies come easy.
What
are you currently reading?
I
am actually re-reading Jaded & Faded, because I am about to start
writing Hated. I want to make sure I don’t miss anything. (Hated is
the last book in the Rock Star Trilogy).
Who
is your fictional character crush?
That
would be Tristan from The Archers of Avalon Series by Chelsea Fine.
There is just something about a sexy immortal with green eyes ;)
Do
you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Yes!
I seriously love you guys so much! Thank you for all the wonderful
messages, and comments. You really help me get through the day! I
can’t tell you how much every comment means to me! You’re
awesome!
