{{Xpresso Book Tours}} Blog Tour + Giveaway: LOVE AND RELATIVITY by RACHAEL WADE

Love and Relativity by Rachael Wade

Publication date: December 12th 2012
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Synopsis:
Love, life, and happily ever after? It’s all relative.

Marine biology student Emma Pierce lives in paradise—geographically speaking, anyway. Stranded on Sanibel Island, Florida, she works at a nursing home by day and spends her nights dodging the island’s infamous bad boy, Jackson Taylor, at her favorite karaoke bar. Trying to heal from the loss of her sister and a failed relationship she rerouted her life for, she’s ready to graduate and finally leave Florida behind.

When a run-in with Jackson and his rowdy crew goes sour at the bar one night, sparks fly and irreversible damage is done. It’s no secret that Jackson loves to get underneath her skin, but this time he’s gone too far. Now all he wants is to earn her forgiveness before she’s gone for good, but their ideas of closure—and the future—are enough to keep them worlds apart.

(*I received a copy of Love and Relativity for this tour. I'm not a paid reviewer. All thoughts are my own*)

I made the mistake of reading a few reviews before I read this book and some of the reviews I read didnt have nice things to say but I will tell you now that whatever the bad reviews out there say...they are wrong! Love and Relativity is a 4 star read and here is why..

What I liked:
The story: I really enjoyed the story..we follow the story about a girl name Emma as she tries to work past her feeling of guilt and hurt over her sister death, while also trying to fight her feeling for her "savior" of sorts. Jack was there for her when her sister died, he was her comforter. That is way it makes it hard to let down her walls and let him in. I find that the story flowed well together and the writing was easy, fun, and enjoyable to read. I was sucked into the story.

The Characters: Emma: was an easy character to get along with. I found her to be a wonderful main character and wasn't to whinny like alot of lead females tend to be. (and very clean..sanitizer please)

Jack: Yeah I freaking Loved Jack! even when he was a jerk sometime. I couldn't find it in me to ever hate him! He was alive and full of life.

Whitney: Okay I think whit is one of the BEST characters I have ever read. She is Emma's Best friend and she does a really good at it..some of the things she said had me cracking up! It was so funny..One of my favorite line from her is...

“Holy crap,” Whitney shrieked when we made it out the door. “It was like Fight Club back there. I feel gipped! Where the hell was Brad Pitt?”
^^Loved it! :) Like I said she was one of the BEST!

The Ending: I think the ending was my favorite part of the book..no not because it ended. It was my favorite because of how sweet it was. I truly adored the ending! If it leads into more books about Emma and Jack I wont be disappointed :)

What I didn't Like (my main reason why it's 4 stars not 5)

The Fighting: Okay so to me it seemed that Jack and Emma either were fighting, breaking up, or trying to stay away from each other throughout this whole book. At time it was okay but some of it just seemed to much to me because Jack and Emma were/are so freaking cute when they are actually together. So when I was looking back on the book they actually weren't together very long and I just wish there was more Emma and Jack together! :) I know it doesn't really seem to big of a reason to lose a star but to me it was a pretty big reason.

All in all I did really like this book...probably boarding on loving it. I would recommend this read to those who like trouble type romances with sweet endings :) In my book this is a MUST READ!!

  2. Sometimes reading reviews can change your expectations I try to not read many or any at all before I read a book, too. But I'm glad you enjoyed this one, though, even if you were wary from the reviews. It does sound like a really good book! :)
