Title: The Astral Ordinance Book II
Author: Meltem Y.K
Release Date: April 14th 2013
Book Description:
With
special permission from the Ascended Masters, Jayna and Ethan have a
spectacular wedding in the Astral plane. Jayna’s family and close
friends are also transported to the wedding and they experience the
Astral plane for the first time. Life goes on in a happy monotone for
the next few years. Jayna and Ethan are together every night, but
they are still forbidden to see each other on the Earth plane. One
morning, Jayna and Liam do not wake up from their state of suspended
animation. Their family is frightened out of their wits and hold
vigil by their beds. With a lot of help from Hope and guidance from
the other side, the siblings finally awake. Something major has
happened on the Astral plane and Jayna is not telling them the whole
story, but there is no denying the sense of danger. Their almost
perfect lives are about to unravel.
When
and why did you decide to be a writer?
My
mother taught me to read at the age of three. As soon as I discovered
the delights of reading a story I started dreaming up my own stories.
Writing them down took a bit longer, but it was a natural
progression. I always knew that I was a story teller and a writer.
What
has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has
been the best compliment?
Somebody
once said that they “were not keen on it”. It hurt my feelings,
but I deduced that they were not keen on the genre. I write
paranormal stories, so if that is not something the person enjoys it
does not matter how good the story is, it just isn’t for them.
The
best compliment? I recently published a short story which is a
complement to my series, The Astral Ordinance. I had many people
write and tell me that they wanted more, it wasn’t enough for them.
That put a smile on my face.
Do
you have any advice for other writers?
Yes,
I have several. First, and this is the best advice I got as a writer.
David Morrell, the creator of the character of Rambo and the author
of many best sellers says, write the story that only you can write.
Second, make writing a habit; even if it’s only a few sentences
write every day. Third, find yourself a great editor. You need the
fresh set of eyes to catch the little things that you have missed,
give you an honest opinion and make suggestions on how to improve
your story.
How
many drafts did you have to write for The Astral Ordinance Book 2?
Any scenes that were cut from the original that you want to share?
The
character of Quentin was supposed to be my antagonist, the person
that was evil incarnate. However, Quentin fought me tooth and nail to
be a good guy and won. He showed me how he was going to be good and
that there was another person who was the real evil one. He was
right. I am glad I listened to him.
What
inspired the idea for
'The
Astral Ordinance (Book1 & Book 2)?
These
characters are so real for me, it is hard to explain. They exist in
another dimension and I love walking through the veil and joining
them in their universe. I am always amazed how they come to life,
interact with each other and I am there to watch them and record
their story.
What
was your favorite chapter (or part) to write in 'The
Astral Ordinance Book 2
and
why?
I
have many favorite parts, but if I had to choose one I would say the
scene in which Quentin is captured by the Astral Warriors stands out
as one of the most memorable.
What
is your favorite snack/treat or drink while writing?
I
normally don’t snack while I am writing, but sometimes I might have
a cup of Turkish coffee to clear my head. It doesn’t hurt to have
the coffee spirits help me out with my writing. I am always grateful.
What
are you currently reading?
I
am currently reading Amanda Hocking’s last installment of the
Watersong series, Elegy.
Who
is your fictional character crush?
Roarke
from J.D. Robb’s In Death series. I just love him. He is a former
career criminal who was abused by his father – ruthlessly beaten up
and left for dead. Roarke grew up in the streets of Dublin. He is the
owner and CEO of Roarke Industries and the richest man in the world.
Do
you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
I
love hearing from you. You can find me on Facebook, Twitter or on my

Cassie screamed with pain.
“How
does it feel to be on the receiving end of pain, Dr. Jewel?”
“How
do you know my name,” the Shadow woman asked squirming on the
floor.
“I know a lot of things about you, and none of it is good.
Did you feel real powerful when you had helpless people
kidnapped?”
There was shock on Cassie’s grey face.
“Yeah, I
know all about it. You had three innocent people killed to get your
dirty hands on that gold. You are scum Cassandra Jewel.” Jayna
grabbed Cassie from the floor and threw her against the wall.
Cassie
cowered.
“Were you planning to go to their funeral,” Jayna
asked, “and pretend you were their friend? Maybe shed a few tears?”
Jayna threw a powerful punch into Cassie’s solar plexus. Cassie
doubled over with pain, coughing.
“Stop it,” Cassie whispered
hoarsely.
“Why should I? Tell me one good reason I should not
kill you?”
Cassie coughed, still trying to catch her
breath.
Jayna, that’s enough. Ethan
warned her. We are not here to kill
anyone.
That’s what the bitch deserves.
Jayna turned
around and saw a new stack of gold plates on the dining room table.
“I see, you brought more gold from the Underworld,” she said to
Cassie.
She walked up to the table and scooped up the plates in her
arms. They were about ten pounds. Awesome!
We’ll make a few more miracles with these.
Cassie screamed
with rage again. “Put those back. You can’t have them. They are
mine.”
“Not on your life,” Jayna said and walked through the
wall. Ethan and Colin followed her; they didn’t
want to lose sight of Jayna for a second, in case the demon
came back.
