A Sexy Adult
Contemporary Romance
Mia Devine plans
over-the-top weddings for a living. So when it comes to her own
nuptials, she spares no expense—hand engraved invitations, Vera
Wang gown, luxury honeymoon in France. And since her fiancé is
Tucker Branch, playboy heir and notorious flirt, local media is
obsessed with every little detail.
Which is why it
really sucks when he jilts her a week before the wedding.
Mortified, Mia wants
nothing more than to crawl under her newly monogrammed sheets and
plan a funeral for her dignity, right after blabbing to the world how
fitting it is that Tucker will inherit a bolt and screw company,
because that’s all he wants to do—screw, and bolt. And he doesn’t
do either with much finesse.
When her friends
convince her that bitter tastes better when it’s drowned in
Bordeaux, she grits her teeth and packs her bags, determined to make
the best of a week in Paris alone.
She never planned on
meeting Lucas Fournier.
The free-spirited
musician’s scruffy good looks and less-than-sympathetic ear annoy
her at first, but when she takes him up on his offer to show her
around the city, she discovers that the romance of Paris isn’t just
a myth.
Nor is the
simultaneous O.
The last thing Mia
needs is another doomed love affair, but since she only has a week,
she figures she might as well enjoy La Vie en O with Lucas while she
can. But each day—and night—with him is better than the last, and
suddenly her heart is telling her this is more than a rebound fling.
Is it just the
seduction of Paris…or could this be the real thing?

FRENCHED was stupendous! I enjoyed every second of it. From the first sentence in Chapter one(Which made me smile) ;
" Top Five Reasons (out of 100) I Am NEVER Coming Out Of This Blanket Fort." ; All the way down to the last words of the book I was bewitched by the story of crumpling love, New found love, and Paris. Oh how I would love to go to Paris.
Frenched is told in POV of a girl, Mia Devine, who was dumped by her fiance just a week before they are suppose to wed. To Mia it's embarrassing and she is mortified. Not want to be seen she has barricaded herself in a blanket fort and is refusing to get out. Finally her two best friends convince her to take the all expenses pay honeymoon trip to Pairs alone. Little did she know how miserable her first day would be wanting to already go home after a day. That was until fate stepped in and had her walking to The Beaver A bar & Grill. That is where she meets Lucas, A half french, half american sexy man bartending. Although things start out a little rough they have a way of looking up. Lucas offers to show her around Paris. Let me tell you I love Lucas' character he was a good match with Mia in her adventure in Paris. Oh and boy where there some yummy steamy scene in this book..*Sizzle* pretty hot to handle. Lucas knows what he was doing that's for sure. But don't worry there is still some drama thrown into the story to spice things up. In the end I was very pleased with how things turned out. I could only hope to see more of Mia and Lucas in the near future.
All in all I loved Frenched tremendously. Melanie has a way with words that keeps you Charmed and wanting for more. I will definitely will be picking up more of her books very soon! Would I recommend this read? YES!! I very much enjoyed it and would suggest those who like Adult (even some NA) Romances would love this read too!
