People say dont judge a book by its cover and I have been guilty a time or two but who can blame me when a lot of the covers especially with sawyers book have a half naked man on the cover. Sadly this series doesnt have a half naked man on the cover but there sure are some nakediness going on under the cover (; This brings me back to my point of not judging a book by its cover because we should always take a deeper look to see the truly good stuff. We meet the sexy Logan First and the first words he udders in Wicked Ride are... "I think this woman may be the death of me." With those word it does a fine job at capturing you and drawing you in because now really lets be honest here why? why is this woman possibly the death of him. As the story goes along you get just that the answer to the why... in which we meet this woman, Auralie and we get to see why she ends up being everything Logan wants and needs. From the beginning they had a special bond that continue to grow by the end of the book you are in awe and happy for the two main people. Now as the story as a whole it had a great storyline and sawyer does a fantastic job at not repeating in her writings which is wonderful because really who wants to read the same thing over and over again? However this story was lacking something for me.. again it was a good storyline but I just had a hard time through some of it. I know its not an easy feat coming up with so many story and trying to make each one unique and different. sadly I just can't give this book the five star rating I usually give to sawyer's books. It may not have been my favorite sawyer but it wont make me stop reading this series or any other of her books. In fact I'm super excited for the next book in this series and you know come to think about it maybe me anticipating the next book which could have caused me to have a lower rating on this book? who knows... I have just been waiting to read Bridger Story for a while now and having him in wicked ride and having him help logan and Auralie was icing to the cake and then sawyer throws us a big bone at the end of the book in the epilogue..grr I just cant wait. However this isnt a review for that book yet...I give Wicked Ride 3.5/4 star rating. I did enjoy the story and the characters but for some reason there was something missing for me that gave it the wow this is a five star books.
