Friction (A Legal Affairs Novel) Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: October 27, 2015
Synopsis: At the powerhouse law firm of Knight & Payne, winning comes first and ethics a distant second. Leary Michaels uses her female charms to daze opponents, and it’s always worked well—until now. On her most personal case yet, she finds herself going up against a defense attorney just as skilled, shameless, and seductive as she is. Reeve Holloway has never met a woman as sure of her own sexuality, or as ruthless in wielding it, as Leary is. But he won’t be toyed with. What Leary starts, he’ll finish—in the courtroom, the bedroom, or any-damn-place he wants. The sex is uninhibited, electrifying, and absolutely against the rules. Reeve’s job is to ruin Leary’s case…even if it destroys her in the process and costs him the woman he’s come to love.

Let me start off by saying I have read almost everything by Sawyer Bennett  and she is absolutely my all time favorite author. She NEVER has let me down when I pick up one of her books. Friction is yet another testament as to why she is my favorite author. It amazes me that she can take these wonderful stories and characters and make something so great that draws you in upon the first words she writes. I always get sucked in by the characters and I don't ever want to leave. I want it to last and last.

Now if you have heard of Sawyer Bennett then more than likely you have read or want to read her Legal Affairs mini series (which by the way is way sexy..Matt is just..AHH! I love that series.) which started it all. Friction is another story within the Legal Affairs world. It is the story of another two amazing Lawyers, Reeves and Leary, who have loads of chemistry. Sawyer starts the story off by first introducing us to Leary in a Prologue. In this prologue we learn about Leary and how she came to be such a successful lawyer. I think it was well written and I had a firm grasp on who Leary had to become to survive in a man's world. Then chapter one starts off so well hot acutally....

"An orgasm crashes through my body.."

who wouldn't want to continue a story after that? Answer no one ..hehe I surely didnt I wanted to read on and so I did. We meet Ford her friend/co-worker who did naughty things with her... to her. I actually love Ford's Character and would really love to see his story be written. Between Ford and Leary the flames of  passion burn very low. Although they were naughty which was pretty hot it just didn't have that spark to make the flame burn brighter. Now bring in Reeves...wowzers! I loved Reeves and Leary's first encounter inside a elevator while Leary did a little strip tease..

"...I take a quick glance and see we're almost to the twentieth floor, and a sense of urgency takes hold of me as I realize this sexy-as-hell woman will be walking away from me in just a few moments. I want to slam my palm against the stop button and demand that she change her other stocking, but that would, of course, be ludicrous."

Getting interested yet? Good because its well worth the read. Throughout the first part of the book Leary tried to make Reeves appear weak but time and time again he proved her wrong and resulted in her wanting more...

"...I reach out with my other hand and lay it in the center of her chest, pushing gently and walking her backwards into the wall. When she's pinned flat against it, I step in close to her...really close."

Once they continue to explore their feelings for each other things start to steam up really fast. It was amazing how I felt how much they wanted and cared for each other. I love how in this story they worked on opposites sides in the same court case. It was nice to see that even though they were needing to take each other down in court to win that they were still able to keep up a steamy and super hot relationship outside of the work. Of course they had their up and down moments as all relationships do but in the end it all worked together as it should. Lastly the epilogue! I love a really good epilogue and Sawyer writes some of the best. The epilogue in Friction was a great closing to the book. I think it was a very well written epilogue but since I love the characters so much I didn't want the story to end the way it did... I wanted more. I was bummed it had to come to a close but it was still an amazing book.

All in all I give Friction 5 Blazing Hot Super Sexy Hearts!
